A silver eight-rayed star; the obverse with a central enameled medallion consisting of a Royal Prussian crown, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, inscribed “GOTT MIT UNS” (German - God with us) in gilt lettering, surrounded by a knurled silver gilt ring; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; marked “W” for “Johann Wagner & Sohn, Berlin” below the catch; measuring 90.33 mm (w) x 90.25 mm (h); weighing 79.6 grams; a worn example, in overall better than very fine condition.
