A pair of Wehrmacht campaign shields, including a Narvik Shield, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a shield featuring a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, representing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjäger, respectively, flanked by a date of “1940”, topped by an inscription of “NARVIK” and a German national eagle perched atop a wreathed swastika, affixed with one intact reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer (Gebirgsjäger) issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 42.28 mm (w) x 90.02 mm (h), with extensive oxidation through the shield, the loss of three reverse attachment prongs, and some oxidation evident to the backplate, in poor condition, and; a Demjansk Shield, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing crossed swords, above a date of “1942” and surrounding a plane, topped by an inscription of “DEMJANSK” and a German national eagle perched atop a wreathed mobile swastika, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 52.02 mm (w) x 92.94 mm (h), with oxidation evident throughout the zink features, in poor condition.
