A pair of Prussian helmet plates, including a shako emblem, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a detailed Prussian imperial eagle clutching an orb and sceptre, bearing a central monogram and overlaid by a banner bearing a raised inscription of “MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND” (“WITH GOD FOR KING AND FATHERLAND”), the reverse retaining both lugs, unmarked, measuring 130 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; an other ranks shako emblem, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a Prussian imperial eagle, bearing a central monogram and overlaid by a banner bearing a raised inscription of “MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND”, the reverse with one original lug and one replacement lug, unmarked, measuring 120 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), in very fine condition.
