Baden, Grand Duchy. A Pickelhaube Plate

(Pickelhaubenemblem). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a detailed Baden griffin clutching a sword and shield bearing a ducal emblem, above a banner bearing a raised inscription of “MITT GOTT F. FUERST U. VATERLAND”, (“WITH GOD FOR PRINCE AND FATHERLAND”), the reverse with both lugs intact, unmarked, measuring 120 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), with minor oxidation evident, in near extremely fine condition.
