A mixed lot of three medals, including a Baden Civil Merit Medal, Gold Grade, constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”), the obverse engraver marked “RM” for Rudolf Mayer, measuring 38.10 mm in diameter, weighing 29.5 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a Württemberg Silver Merit Medal, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and rightward-facing profile of King Karl, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “DEM VERDIENST” (“TO MERIT”), unmarked, measuring 27.93 mm in diameter, weighing 11.7 grams, with tarnishing evident, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Hesse War Honour Decoration in Bronze, constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse bearing a crowned monogram of Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig, the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of “KRIES-EHREN-ZEICHEN” (“WAR HONOUR DECORATION”), unmarked, measuring 24.91 mm in diameter, weighing 6.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), with most of the bronze finish lost, in very fine condition.
