Germany, Third Reich. A German Equestrian Badge, Silver Grade, by L. Christian Lauer

(Deutsches Reiterabzeichen in Silver). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath,joined together at the bottom by a belt bearing a central letter “R”, around a mounted horse on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG”, measuring 42.18 mm (w) x 51.58 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
