Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a stag’s head topped by initials “DJV” (“DEUTSCHER JAGDVERBANDES”) and a number “40”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 40 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
