Germany, Third Reich. A Horse Driver’s Badge, Bronze Grade, by Steinhauer & Lück

(Deutsches Fahrer-Abzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath,joined together at the bottom by a belt bearing a central letter “R”, around a chariot pulled by two horses, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “STEINHAUER & LÜCK, NÜRNBERG”, measuring 40.66 mm (w) x 50.91 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
