Germany, HJ. A Rare Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckle, by Kallenbach, Meyer & Franke

(HJ Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of nickel-plated magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M4/3” for Kallenbach, Meyer & Franke, Luckenwalde, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some loss of finish evident to the obverse, a buckle by an uncommon manufacturer in very fine condition.
