Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Bronze Grade

(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of cupal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Panzer IV rolling over grassy terrain, with its left tread extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41.31 mm (w) x 60.21 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams with some oxidation evident (particularly to the reverse), in overall better than very fine condition.
