Germany, DLV. A Sports Shirt

(Deutscher Luftsportverband Sporthemd). A well preserved German Air Sports Association (DLV) sports shirt, constructed of white cotton. The shirt is sleeveless and features dual shoulder straps. Stitched onto the chest is an insignia consisting of a white cotton/rayon-blended backer bearing a machine-embroidered, multi-coloured DLV insignia measuring 100 mm (w) x 60 mm (h). The interior of the collar retains a label bearing a red machine-embroidered size mark of “44”. Otherwise unmarked, the shirt measures approximately 400 mm (w) x 700 mm (l) when folded on a flat surface. Soiling consistent with storage and wear is evident, but the shirt demonstrates no damage and is in an overall very fine condition.
