Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by G.H. Osang

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, with a loop and swivel attachment prongs, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap bearing an embossed maker’s mark of “G.H. OSANG, DRESDEN” with a manufacture date of “1940”, the buckle unmarked and measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
