Exterior in peanut brown wool, the front, the rear and the sides trimmed in dark brown embroidered piping, with a 22 mm wide thatch-patterned fine wool band sewn in place on both sides that extends the full length of the chapri, a red tassel protruding from the mid-point at the front, the tassel with a multi-fringe red cord skirt, a patch in peanut brown wool and bearing the number "21" in dark brown embroidery sewn in place on the front just above the opening, the latter with a rolled cord and covered in peanut brown wool. There are two eyelets for ventilation placed on both sides, the left side with two brown-finished metal eyelets intact, the right side with the both metal eyelets having been lost to time. The interior is lined in light brown cotton, with a series of faded production stampings in black ink on both sides, along with incorporating a black-finished leather sweatband, the chapri measuring 225 mm in length along the top edge, 270 mm in length along the bottom (open) edge x 135 mm in height. The interior and sweatband exhibit moderate soiling, with light wear also present on the sweatband, the chapri itself free of mothing. Very fine.
