Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath surrounding a white enameled disc, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel, in turn overlaid by an enameled HJ insignia, the eagle circumscribed by an inscription of “KREISSIEGER 1939”, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “H. AURICH, DRESDEN”, measuring 49.00 mm (w) x 47.80 mm (h), weighing 26.3 grams, with minor chipping and cracking visible to the enamels, in very fine condition.
