Bavaria, Kingdom. A Heer EM/NCO’s First World War Period Belt Buckle

(Bayerische Armee Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of gilded and silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “IN TREUE FEST” (“STEADFAST IN LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor tarnishing and loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
