Romania, Kingdom. A Crusade Against Communism Medal, with Three Campaign Clasps

(Medalia Cruciada împotriva comunismului). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a postwar replacement ribbon featuring period original “BUG”, “CALMUCIA”, and “CAUCAZ” campaign clasps, the obverse bearing a raised Geneva Cross overlaid by a hand gripping a sword, in turn flanked by a date of “1941”, circumscribed by an inscription of “CRUCIADA ÎMPOTRIVA COMUNISMULUI” (“CRUSADE AGAINST COMMUNISM”), the reverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing female figure above an inscription of “ROMÂNIA RECUNOSCĂTOARE” (“ROMANIA IS GRATEFUL”), engraver marked “P. GRANT”, measuring 31.81 mm in diameter, weighing 22.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon and clasps), in extremely fine condition.
