Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, around a central Panzer IV rolling over grassy terrain, with its left tread extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a maker-unique crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Hermann Aurich, Dresden, measuring 41.64 mm (w) x 60.04 mm (h), weighing 28.4 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of two pieces of unmarked card stock and retaining a period original wax paper liner, measuring 55 mm (w) x 80 mm (l) x 15 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
