A medal bar to a recipient with First and Second World War service featuring seven decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a restitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.09 mm (w) x 47.16 mm (h), weighing 13.8 grams, with a replacement suspension loop; a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measruing 49.47 mm (w) x 48.91 mm (h), weighing 23.1 grams; a Bavarian Military Merit Cross, III Class with Swords, constructed of coppered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, within a stylized belt bearing an inscription of “MERENTI” (“MERIT”) with arabesques, the twelve o’clock arm fastened with a crosses sword clasp, the reverse bearing a central raised Bavarian lion rampant, within a stylized belt bearing an institution date of “1866” with arabesques, topped by a hollow crown suspension, unmarked, measuring 42.79 mm (w) x 63.82 mm (h), weighing 21.0 grams; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 37.52 mm (w) x 42.48 mm (h), weighing 13.8 grams; an Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph Jubilee Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.05 mm in diameter, weighing 19.1 grams; a Hungarian War Commemorative Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 37.03 mm in diameter, weighing 21.8 grams, and; a Bulgarian War Commemorative Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.03 mm in diameter, weighing 16.8 grams; all suspended from a 175 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, with minor oxidation and soiling evident to the medals and ribbons, respectively, in overall better than very fine condition.
