Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central white enameled oval disc, overlaid by a German Red Cross- (DRK) style German national eagle clutching a Geneva Cross and overlaid by a mobile swastika, within a red border bearing a silvered inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ / SCHWESTERNSCHAFT” (“GERMAN RED CROSS / SISTERHOOD”), the reverse with a clip hinge and rounded catch, stamped with an identification number of “1521”, maker marked with the logo of Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid, measuring 44 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), some flecking is visible to the enamels and the pinback is missing, in overall very fine condition.
