Croatia, Independent State. A Ustasha Officer's Belt

Belt with a repeating ornate embroidered design incorporating the Croatian interlace in maroon sewn upon a gray felt upper, supple suede leather underside, stamped in blue ink with the production mark "4537" on the underside at the right end, the belt measuring 40 mm x 1,170 mm. Although the Croatian interlace remains intact and in terrific shape, it has come away from the body of the belt in two locations but the majority of it continues to be attached. It exhibits wear and mothing in the gray felt on the upper, along with light wear and discoloration on the suede leather underside. In addition, it is missing its metal receiving clip, the slider on the upper and its adjustable length leather tab on the underside, all of which have been lost to time. Near fine.
