(Oldenburger Haus- und Verdienstorden Ehrenkreuze). A lot of three Honour Crosses of the House and Merit Order of Peter Friedrich Ludwig, including:
1. An Honour Cross, III Class, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN GOTT, EIN RECHT, EINE WAHRHEIT” (“ONE GOD, ONE RIGHTEOUSNESS, ONE TRUTH”), the reverse bearing a central raised Oldenburg coat of arms, topped by a crown and superimposed over a royal cloak, unmarked, measuring 35.14 mm (w) x 38.48 mm (h), weighing 11.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. An Honour Cross, III Class with Swords, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN GOTT, EIN RECHT, EINE WAHRHEIT” (“ONE GOD, ONE RIGHTEOUSNESS, ONE TRUTH”), the reverse bearing a central raised Oldenburg coat of arms, topped by a crown and superimposed over a royal cloak, unmarked, measuring 35.27 mm (w) x 38.98 mm (h), weighing 17.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. An Honour Cross, I Class with Swords, constructed of gilded silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN GOTT, EIN RECHT, EINE WAHRHEIT” (“ONE GOD, ONE RIGHTEOUSNESS, ONE TRUTH”), the reverse bearing a central raised Oldenburg coat of arms, topped by a crown and superimposed over a royal cloak, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an integral loop connecting to a crossed sword clasp, in turn topped by a suspension ring with a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 35.27 mm (w) x 38.98 mm (h), weighing 17.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
