Spain, Spanish State. A 1955 Commemorative Plaque to Francisco Franco from Papelera Española

Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of a stylized scroll, bearing a carefully-engraved dedication to Francisco Franco with letter highlighted in black and red, extending gratitude to Franco from Papelera Española (a paper manufacturing conglomerate) for inaugurating its newest facility in Renteria (Errenteria, Basque Country), dated 11 September 1955and part of a series of economic initiatives that resulted in the so-called “Spanish miracle” of the mid- to late-Franco era, perforated with four holes for rivet attachment, unmarked, measuring 82 mm (w) x 85 mm h), with some bending and tarnishing evident, in near extremely fine condition.
