Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing an etched dedication to Francisco Franco in his capacity as Caudillo (Leader) of Spain from a delegation of the Ministry of Transport, recognizing Franco’s role in the opening of Spain’s first synthetic rubber factory, part of a series of economic initiatives that resulted in the so-called “Spanish miracle” of the mid- to late-Franco era, the lower left corner of the obverse bearing a five-pointed star indicating 915 silver content and an unidentified hallmark, measuring 16.5 cm (w) x 8 cm (h), weighing 271 grams, the reverse retaining two of four attachment prongs and with a consistent patina visible throughout, in very fine condition.
