Germany, Imperial. A Fleet Association of German Women Gold for Iron Donation Medal

(Flottenbund Deutscher Frauen Medaille). Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised anchor overlaid by a German State Crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “FLOTTENBUND DEUTSCHER FRAUEN” (“FLEET ASSOCIATION OF GERMAN WOMEN”), the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1914”, circumscribed by an inscription of “GOLD GAB ICH FÜR EISEN” (“I GAVE GOLD FOR IRON”), measuring 29 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
