Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare Presentation Case for a Pilot Badge, Type H, by Gebrüder Wegerhoff

Constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt inscription of “LUFTWAFFE FLUGZEUGFÜHRER-ABZEICHEN”, the interior with a sprayed blue felt lid liner and slotted medal bed, closing with a functional brass snap button, unmarked but with the characteristics of a scarce H-type produced by the firm of Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid, measuring 80 mm (w) x 80 mm (l) x 28 mm (h), with moderate material fatigue evident to both the interior and exterior, in very fine condition.
