Romania, Kingdom. A Bucharest Rescue Society Badge, c.1930

A round badge, the centre shows a woman nursing a patient on a silver medallion riveted to the badge, under which is a red enamelled cross with oak leaves between the arms, circumscribed by the name “SOCIETATEA DE SALVARE DIN BUCURESTI” in gold over blue enamel, the reverse plain except for a horizontal pin, hinge, and catch, measures 33.87 mm in diameter, and is in extremely fine condition.
