Croatia, Independent State. A Croatian Legion Commemorative Badge

Constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a linden leaf, the obverse bearing a central raised shield featuring a classic Croatian checkered national emblem, circumscribed by an inscription of “HRVATSKA LEGIJA 1941” (“CROATIAN LEGION 1941”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
