(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “65” for Klein & Quenzer, Idar-Oberstein, measuring 36.80 mm (w) x 43.98 mm (h), weighing 21.5 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux maroon leather exterior liner, the interior with a slotted red felt medal bed, unmarked, measuring 66 mm (w) x 68 mm (l) x 15 mm (h), the badge demonstrating total loss of finish and some oxidation, in addition to minor material fatigue of the case, in overall very fine condition.
