Spain, Spanish State. An Honorary Presidential Plaque to Francisco Franco from the Knights of Yuste

Constructed of silver with Gold and gilded metal, the obverse bearing an engraved dedication to Francisco Franco from the Asociación de Caballeros de Yuste (Association of the Knights of Yuste), issued in Franco’s capacity as the organization’s Honorary President, dated 6 February 1966, the upper left corner riveted with the organization’s coat of arms executed in Gold and red enamels, the former the centrepiece of a gilded arabesque partial border extending across the top and left edges, with the remaining three corners fastened with gilded medallions, the plaque affixed to a wooden backer fuller liner in maroon velvet, the reverse lined in an additional layer of maroon rayon and fastened with four silver studs, featuring loops and a swivel stand for optional display, measuring 35 cm (w) x 40 cm (h), the plaque demonstrating a subtle patina and with some loosening evident to the stand’s hinge, in extremely fine condition.
