Germany, Imperial. A Signed and Framed Portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II

(Kaiser Wilhelm II Porträt mit Unterschrift und Rahmen). A beautifully-presented signed portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm, featuring a famous photograph of the Kaiser in uniform and with an array of order and decorations clearly visible, reproduced by the firm of Richard & Lindner, Berlin, with the lower quarter overlaid by the Kaiser’s elaborate handwritten signature in clear graphite pencil, flanked by a date of 30 March 1905, the image measuring 12.5 cm (w) x 19.5 cm (h) and pasted to a card stock backer, secreted within an ornate period frame constructed of lacquered dark brown wood, with each corner of the obverse riveted with a gilded rosette-style applique, retaining a fully-intact glass face, the reverse retaining a pressed backer with a textile liner and with a wire hanger for suspension, the frame measuring 21.5 cm (w) x 29 cm (h), a superb display piece in extremely fine condition, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Russell Turner of Gallery of History, Inc., dated 21 September 2021.
