A pair of Franco-era badges, including:
1. A frame featuring the national emblem of the Spanish State, constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a Spanish national eagle with its head overlaying a halo and wings joined together by Falange symbols, in turn overlaying a banner bearing a national motto of “UNA, GRANDE, Y LIBRE” (“ONE, GREAT, AND FREE”), perforated with two holes for the attachment of rivets presumably formerly accommodating a national coat of arms, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), in very fine condition.
2. A patriotic brooch, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval disc, bearing a multi-coloured enameled tree topped by Mary holding the Christ Child, flanked by castles, and set within a laced border, the reverse with visible attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), with loosening of the oval applique evident, in very fine condition.
