In die-stamped fire gilt bronze, unmarked, measuring 83.5 mm (w) x 103 mm (h), screwpost with nut intact behind the shield, along with a u-shaped loop placed behind the crown, scattered gilt wear on the shield, very light contact overall, near extremely fine.
Footnote: Le Régiment de Québec (Mitrailleuses) originated in St. Ambroise on April 9, 1869 as The Provisional Battalion of Quebec. It was re-designated the 87th Quebec Battalion of Infantry on May 27, 1881 and the 87th Quebec Regiment on May 8, 1900. Following the First World War, it was re-designated Le Régiment de Québec on March 29, 1920 and Le Régiment de Québec (Mitrailleuses) on December 15, 1936. During the Second World War, it was re-designated the 2nd (Reserve) Battalion, Le Régiment de Québec (Mitrailleuses) on March 18, 1942. Following the Second World War, it was redesignated Le Régiment de Québec (Mitrailleuses) on December 22, 1945. On September 1, 1954, it was amalgamated with Les Voltigeurs de Québec (Motor).
