A Memorial Cross, in silver, reverse engraved F.L. J. G. KEE J7075, 6 o’clock arm marked LACKIE STERLING, measures 32.4mm (w) x 34.6mm (h – integral ring), worn on original purple neck ribbon, lovely patina, minimal wear, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: John Gordon Kee served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, with the #4 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron in Ucluelet, British Columbia. He was killed in action on June 9, 1944, when the Canso aircraft # A crashed at Ucluelet Inlet, Vancouver while returning from a patrol. F.L Kee is buried in the Prospect Cemetery at Toronto, Ontario.
