Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS B-Pattern Oak Leaf Reversible Helmet Cover

(Waffen-SS Stahlhelmbezug). An extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS reversible B-pattern oak leaf camouflage helmet cover, constructed of multi-coloured cotton duck. One side of the cover features a predominantly green mottle, while the reverse bears a predominantly brown autumn pattern. Each side bears six embroidered cotton loops, stitched vertically in the middle, for the attachment of foliage to the helmet. The cover has three rocker clips, with two at the sides and one at the rear, to ensure a secure fit to the accompanying helmet. The cover is unmarked and measures approximately 196 mm (h) x 344 mm (l) when folded flat. There is sporadic fraying of the stitching, while both the left and right side of the summer pattern demonstrates minor soiling. The cover is in an overall extremely fine condition.
