Spain, Spanish State. A Medal of the Russian Campaign

(Medalla de la campaña de Rusia). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a detailed Spanish national eagle, overlaid by a central 1939 Iron Cross executed in silvered bronze with black enamel, the obverse featuring a circular chain link wreath topped by a crown, surrounding a central raised depiction of the Novgorod Kremlin, above an inscription of “RUSIA 1941”, unmarked, measuring 36.79 mm (w) x 51.64 mm (h), weighing 16.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
