Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Badges

(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of eight badges, including:

1. A Reich Air Protection League (RLB) visor cap insignia, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), with loss of silver finish evident, in very fine condition.

2. An RLB visor cap insignia, alternate pattern, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 37 mm (w) x 37 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.

3. An RLB membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “HOFFSTÄTTER, BONN”, measuring 25 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. An RLB membership stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the reverse maker marked “H. AURICH, DRESDEN”, measuring 20 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.

5. A Freiwillige Arbeitsdienst (Voluntary Labour Service/FAD) membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “A. & S.” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 24 mm in diameter, with some flecking of enamels evident, in near extremely fine condition.

6. Two FAD Labour Gratitude badges, each constructed of silvered bronze with multi-clorued enamels, the reverse of each with a vertical pinback, both unmarked and measuring 16 mm (w) x 23 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.

7. A Women’s Auxiliary Assistance Service membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “A. STUBBE, BERLIN”, measuring 40 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
