Austria, Imperial. A Railway Officers Club Badge

Bronze gilt with red, white and light blue enamels, illustrating an eight-spoked wheel, with upward-pointing wings on either side, two arrows below with zig-zag shafts, the wheel backed by a central stem with a red and white circular insignia protruding from the top of the badge, the stem flanked by arrow points at the top and bottom, surrounded by the inscription "CLUB ÖSTERREICHISCHER EISENBAHN-BEAMTEN", maker marked "JOH. SCHWEROTNER WIEN" on the button hole attachment, 32.5 mm x 53.3 mm, intact enamels, traces of gilt wear, extremely fine.
