This bayonet features a 252 mm long steel blade, with an extremely sharp edge and tip, unmarked on the ricasso, embedded into the heavy steel crossguard that is designed with a ring at one end for placement upon the barrel of a rifle, with wooden plates embedded onto either side of the handle and held in place via two large screws, the steel portion of the handle marked on the upper edge with a crown above "3" and a crown above "8", along with being marked "5.10" along the bottom edge, the butt marked "ROSS RIFLE CO. / QUEBEC / PATENTED 1907" on the obverse and marked with a Broad Arrow within a "C" beside "08", along with a crown above "8" with "11-09" on the reverse, measuring 367 mm in length overall, exhibiting moderate surface wear on the steel portions, very fine.
