In gilded non-magnetic white metal, an 1863 Stonewall Jackson Memorial Medal, the obverse features a large left facing portrait, surrounded by the inscription of LIEUT. GENERAL T.J. JACKSON, STONEWALL, BORN 1821, DIED 1863, the reverse features the name of every battle Jackson participated in within a wreath of corn and leaves, with an panoply of arms at 6 o’clock and DEO VINDICI in exergue, measures 50.3mm in diameter, weighs 40.0 grams, light knocks to edges and two small gashes to reverse through the gilt, minor wear on obverse, otherwise in near extremely fine condition.
A gilded non-magnetic white metal souvenir medal, the obverse presenting a bust of Christopher Columbus holding a map, surrounded by a wreath ring and the inscription CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS BORN 1456 DIED 1506, the reverse presents two female personifications of Chicago and America pointing to a scene of the Exposition buildings with ships, the exterior is inscribed SOUVENIR WORLD’S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, CHICAGO, U.S.A. 1892-1893., and in the exergue 1492-1892 IV. CENTENNIAL., measures 50.6mm in diameter, weighs 42.3 grams, minor edge knocks, small scratches to the reverse side, remains in extremely fine condition.
