Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Badges

(Abzeichen). A pair of badges, including:

1. An SA Sports Badge, Bronze Grade Type II, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a central sword on top of a mobile swastika, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “FECHLER, BERNSBACH”, measuring 46.74 mm (w) x 58.50 mm (h), weighing 18.7 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A 1938 Munich Economic Policy Commission seminar participant’s badge, constructed of silvered bronze, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “C. BALMBERGER, NÜRNBERG”, measuring 35 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
