Germany, Heer. A Sports Shirt

(Heer Sporthemd). A well-preserved Heer sports shirt, constructed of white cotton. The shirt is sleeveless and features dual shoulder straps. Stitched onto the chest is an insignia consisting of a white cotton backer bearing a machine-embroidered black Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 23.5 cm (w) x 12.5 cm (h) overall. The interior of the collar features a label with a machine-embroidered red size mark of “42”. The shirt measures 35.5 cm (w) x 63.5 mm (l) when folded on a flat surface. Minor soiling consistent with period usage is evident, but the shirt remains in a near extremely fine condition.
