Germany, RAD. An Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckle, by Gustav Brehmer

(Reichsarbeitsdienst Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Reich Labour Service (RAD) logo in the form of a shovel head overlaid by a mobile swastika, within a circular wheat stalk wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment prongs, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap, maker marked “GUSTAV BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN” with a date of “1936”, with the buckle additionally bearing the firm’s logo, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
