Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield

(Heer Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 52.30 mm (w) x 61.87 mm (h), with most of the bronze finish lost, in overall near extremely fine condition.
