(Cruz de Guerra). Instituted in 1938. Three-piece construction, centrepiece insignia in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, the insignia centering a silver gilt wreath with cross and backed by crossed swords, the four arms of the cross bearing the Franco crown, two facing lions and a castle, mounted to a silver eight-pointed star base, each star point with five pairs of faceted rays, with a single pair of faceted rays between each star point, unmarked, measuring 59.5 mm (w) x 59.5 mm (h), vertical pinback, crazing evident in the blue enamels on the centrepiece ring, scattered gilt wear, near extremely fine.
