Canada, Dominion. A Victoria Rifles of Canada Shooting Competition Medal 1885

Four-piece construction, in silver, unmarked, illustrating a circular disk in the centre engraved with the date "1885", the disk backed by crossed rifles on a Rupert cross and framed by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, measuring 41.5 mm (w) x 48 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, ornate floral suspension, silver target flanked by maple leaves clasp affixed to its original ribbon, suspended from hanger engraved "VRC" (Victoria Rifles of Canada) with pinback, very light contact, residue evident in the recessed from cleaning, near extremely fine.
