Spain, Fascist State. A Commemorative Medal to the Fallen and Prisoners of the Blue Division

Instituted 1954. In bronze gilt, a round medal featuring the symbol of the Blue Division on a Spanish coloured shield, surrounded by stars and a green enamel wreath on a black enamel background, the reverse is plain, measures 33.5mm (w) x 39.1mm (h), weighs 15.3 grams (including ribbon), worn on the incorrect blue ribbon (should be half blue, half black with a “Rusia 1941” bar), divot in lacquer at 9 o’clock edge, otherwise in extremely fine condition.
