Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms joined together through the quadrants by NSDAP-style German national eagles clutching wreathed mobile swastikas on white enameled backgrounds, the obverse overlaid across the three and nine o’clock arms by a crossed sword clasp, the twelve o’clock arm topped by a ribbed fan retaining a suspension loop and period original ribbon, the loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “21” for Gebrüder Godet, Berlin, alongside a silver content number of “900”, measuring 44.78 mm (w) x 50.75 mm (h), weighing 20.0 grams, with minor flecking of enamels evident, in extremely fine condition.
