Islenzka falkaoroa. Instituted in 1921. Type II without Crown (1944- ). Grand Cross: in silver gilt with blue and white enamels, measuring 44.8 mm (w) x 77.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, on its original full-length sash incorporating a decorative moiré pattern; and Breast Star: in silver gilt with blue and white enamelled cross, mounted to a eight-pointed star base, maker marked and marked "925" (sterling silver) on the tip of the star point at 12 o'clock on the reverse, measuring 83 mm (w) x 82.7 mm (h), dual-pronged vertical pinback. Intact enamels, extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "KJARTAN ASMUNDSSON REYKJAVIK" on the inside lid, raised platform with recessed medal beds, case also extremely fine.
