Latvia, Republic. A 10th Aizpute Kājnieku Pulks (Aizpute Infantry Regiment) Badge, by H.Bank Riga

A three-piece construction badge of silvered bronze and multi-coloured enamels, the obverse centre bears the Latvian coat of arms in blue and red enamels, superimposed over a white enamel cross reading “AKP 10 14XI 1919”, with two upwards facing crossed swords in the quadrants between the arms, superimposed over a diamond of rays, the reverse is plain and bears a screwback, the plate is marked “H BANK RIGA”, measuring 46.51 mm (w) x 47.24 mm (h), very fine.
