Latvia, Republic. A Firefighter Badge of Honour

An elongated badge constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears a firefighter's helmet over two crossed axes, underneath bears the cipher “LUS” (for the firefighter’s union), above is the coat of arms of Latvia, encompassed by a “U”-shaped wreath of oak and laurel tied with a ribbon at the bottom, the reverse is plain and bears a screwback, missing plate, measuring 38.89 mm (w) x 61.70 mm (h), fine.
